Diss

When we're driving and the kids have trash... either a used napkin or a straw wrapper, or the stick from a lollipop, or whatever... they always say "here mom" and expect me to take it. So, there I am driving... sometimes on the phone too... and they are wanting to hand me their trash. Like... what am I supposed to do with it??

So today it was the same song, second verse. Audrey had some trash that she wanted me to take. This time though, I said to her "Audrey, I'm not a trashcan!"

her response: "well you LOOK like a trashcan!"

I wonder if I could put that on a resume... "trashcan"

yeeeeeeeeeah... I got dissed by my three year old.

hmmm.

at Wal-Mart today I let her get a chocolate milk out of the cooler as we were checking out. per usual... she spilled some. Then she says to me "moooooom! I accidentally spilled some on purpose"

yeah, who's the trashcan now???

translation: There are mosquitos in her blinds

turns out it was a crane fly

just thought you all should know.

Big Green Tractor

I changed my music player at the bottom of my blog to play a song that goes with this post...

yesterday I got to ride along in the tractor and watch (i.e. take pics of) hay as it was made into bales.

Well... he's a year old now!!

This little guy's family is moving to Kentucky at the end of this month. I got the chance to do a photo shoot of their adorable family this past weekend before they make their big move.

Kickin' My Heels Up Fourth of July Style

Today is day three that Levi has been in summer school and it's just been me and lil miss thang at home.

there's a mutual agreement... we both miss Levi! It's weird, him being gone all day. But it's given me lots of one-on-one time with Audrey. Something she's never really had.

Yesterday, my mom suggested that I do "school" with Audrey while Levi is at school. So today I busted out one of the many preschool workbooks I have and I had Audrey work through a few pages of it.



After we were done, we decided to go out and do some girl shopping before we had to pick bubby up from school.

So, in a bout of retail therapy... I brought home this:



It's a cowgirl boot... that's a planter/vase!!!

About a week or more ago, Audrey woke up, came into my room, crawled up into my bed, and started singing a sweet song.

It went like this:

(to the tune of Have You Seen The Muffin Man)
"I want to go to pawpaw's house, to pawpaw's house, to pawpaw's house. I want to go to pawpaw's house. that's where i want to go to pawpaw's house."

So I called pawpaw.

He requested that I get it on film and email it to him... but I can't help sharing it with the world. It's just too cute.
