Big Green Tractor

I changed my music player at the bottom of my blog to play a song that goes with this post...

yesterday I got to ride along in the tractor and watch (i.e. take pics of) hay as it was made into bales.

Well... he's a year old now!!

This little guy's family is moving to Kentucky at the end of this month. I got the chance to do a photo shoot of their adorable family this past weekend before they make their big move.

Kickin' My Heels Up Fourth of July Style

Today is day three that Levi has been in summer school and it's just been me and lil miss thang at home.

miss thang:



there's a mutual agreement... we both miss Levi! It's weird, him being gone all day. But it's given me lots of one-on-one time with Audrey. Something she's never really had.

Yesterday, my mom suggested that I do "school" with Audrey while Levi is at school. So today I busted out one of the many preschool workbooks I have and I had Audrey work through a few pages of it.



After we were done, we decided to go out and do some girl shopping before we had to pick bubby up from school.

So, in a bout of retail therapy... I brought home this:



It's a cowgirl boot... that's a planter/vase!!!

For My Dad

About a week or more ago, Audrey woke up, came into my room, crawled up into my bed, and started singing a sweet song.

It went like this:

(to the tune of Have You Seen The Muffin Man)
"I want to go to pawpaw's house, to pawpaw's house, to pawpaw's house. I want to go to pawpaw's house. that's where i want to go to pawpaw's house."

So I called pawpaw.

He requested that I get it on film and email it to him... but I can't help sharing it with the world. It's just too cute.

Jubilee Days

I suppose the people who read my blog don't need an update of sorts. You all know what's going on in my life. But I know it's always nice to see new pictures. With the busy-ness (read: stress) of moving I haven't used my camera that much in the last month but this weekend I got a chance to bust it out and got some great pics. The kids and I went down to Warsaw Missouri for their jubilee days. Friday night we got them arm bands to ride the carnival rides and then ended the night with homemade ice cream and root beer floats (carnival food). Saturday morning we got up and went to the jubilee days parade. They really do it up big!!

Friday:









The carnival is down on this beautiful harbor. When the sun started setting it was absolutely breathtaking.





When the fireflies started coming out my kids showed off their city-ness and were SO excited. We don't see many fireflies in the lights of the city.
