Pumpkin Patch Pictures P-P-P

As promised...
here are some pictures from the pumpkin patch/hayride that Levi's preschool went on last Friday.

Audrey, bundled up and ready for the hayride. (Levi had already ditched me and was at the front of the wagon with his friends. LOL):

Oh, Look who decided to join us down here at the back of the wagon!

Levi got to shuck corn on the hayride. It was neat. The kids also got to do a corn maze.

Ta-Da!!

Justin

I had a senior photo shoot Saturday morning.

Here is one of my faves from the shoot. I love it because their school colors are Red... they are the cardinals. So, this bright red wall was perfect.

A Sweet Surprise

This morning I woke up to breakfast in bed.

Jason had gotten up, closed the door to the room I was sleeping in so that my kids being awake wouldn't wake me up, fixed Levi a waffle for breakfast, then fried me an egg, put it on a piece of toast, and brought it to me in bed with a glass of juice.

*insert "awwww" here*

THEN....

his dad knows that I love coffee, and he knew that I was at Jason's house today, so on his way back home from town, he stopped by with a coffee for me.

*wild applause*

just had to share.

we were driving back to Jason's house tonight in the dark, and we counted TEN deer in his fields. one clearly had antlers.

*gets ready for rifle season*

Becky's gettin' a deer this year ya'll !!!!

Beauty Is In The Eye of The Beholder

Question: What do you do when you've dropped both kids off at their schools on a Friday morning, and you find yourself at the mall ALL BY YOURSELF with three hours to kill, but you're there early and the only things open are coffee shops and hair salons?

Answer: You get your hair did!!

Or I do anyway. Or did. Whatever.

That's right folks, for the first time in OVER A YEAR, I stepped foot in a hair salon. I'm still keeping the long hair, so I didn't go short. I just got the dead ends trimmed off and got sexy (did I just say sexy on my blog??) layers and texture put in it. Then... I went dark!!!!!!!!!! Think dark espresso bean.... dark. not quite black. I'm in love with it. I usually don't trust just anyone with my hair... but the girl was young and hip and had a nose ring... so for two hours I read trash magazines and let her do what she wanted with my hair. I love it. Did I mention I LOVE it??

Pictures coming soon.

Skip ahead a few hours. I've picked the kids up from their schools and have put Audrey down for her afternoon nap. Or.... at least I THOUGHT she was napping.

HOWEVER...

not to be out-done by mom's new look, Audrey had found a green marker, and decided to give herself a new look of her own.

Just in time for Halloween, I give you.... Audrey's Incredible Hulk transformation...

If you think THAT'S pretty... check out what she did to her doll...

I'm sending this girl to cosmetology school!!!

Or not.

Oi.

Knock Knock, McFly!

Audrey is in that age where she is constantly, and I mean cooooonnnnnssstttannntly saying "mom" a million times a day. She's ALWAYS needing something. Only... half the time, she doesn't even need anything. A lot of times it goes like this...

Audrey: "Mom?"
Me: "what Audrey?"
Audrey: "nufthin" (nothin')

or

Audrey: "Mom!"
Me: "yes Audrey?"
Audrey: "nevermind"

sometimes, when she's said "mom" at least a million times that day, I tend to start ignoring her. Well.... here is a conversation that took place this morning at breakfast. I was busy reviewing Levi's homework and getting Audrey's lunch ready for both of them to go to school and Audrey is sitting there saying "mom. mom. mommy. MOM??"

and I'm ignoring her.

when all of a sudden I hear her say "MOM? Knock Knock, MOM!"

*blinks*

did my two year old child just say knock knock to me??

what is this world coming to?

"yes, Audrey?"

Poop

When you help work cattle, you're going to get manure on your pants. I'm just sayin'

p.s. - manure is poop. Had to explain that one to my four year old.

these are my jeans after helping the other day:
